Customizing your automated abandoned cart messaging is super easy. From within your account, select the gear icon to access your setup and configuration menu. From here, simply navigate to the email and SMS section.

Select message templates. You'll be redirected to your message template library. Here you'll see the three abandoned cart emails that we've pre -added to the dashboard for you. Of course, you can create your own template by selecting new template in the upper right.

To edit an existing template, simply click into the one that you'd like to make changes on. You'll then be redirected to the message template editor. Here you can click into any field within the editor to make changes.

For example, if you wanted to retitle the message to make the copy fit more on brand, you can just start typing into the body of the email. Once you're finished making the changes, you can scroll down to choose whether or not to enable or disable SMS delivery.

When you enable SMS delivery, it will send a text message out every time in addition to the email whenever you have an abandoned cart. This is a great way to keep your customers in the know as it sends a message right to their cell phone.

Just like above, you can click right into the phone box to edit the copy. When you're finished, don't forget to hit save to save your changes. Head over to the left menu and under email and SMS select automations.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the settings for your cart abandoned flow. If you for some reason prefer not to utilize the cart abandoned functionality, just uncheck the box here to turn it off.

On this page, you have the option to select which template gets sent out first, second, and third. Simply use the drop down to select the option you prefer. If you have templates, they will also appear in this drop -down for selection.

On the right hand side, you can choose when these emails are sent to your customer. Simply type in the box to edit the time period. So for example, the first email is set up to be sent out one hour after the shopper abandons their cart.

If you prefer to only send out one email, for example, simply click the drop -down and select the blank template option at the top. Once you select save, this will save your changes and in this example, only one abandoned cart communication will be sent out to your customer.

And that's it! That's a quick overview on how to edit and set up your abandoned cart messaging and how to adjust the settings for your abandoned carts. If you have any questions on this, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.
